The National Center for Educational Statistics states there is a mathematics achievement gap between ELs and non-ELs (NCES, 2015). Across the U.S., the cultural and linguistic diversity continues to grow. This case study examined the mathematical co-construction between a 4th grade dual language teacher and her Latino EL students.
